The East and Florida Conferences will  be having a Regional Lay Workshop which will be held in Tallahassee, Florida September 30-October 1, 2011.  Hotel Accommodations will be at the Courtyard Marriot Tallahassee Capital located at 1018 Apalachee Parkway.  The phone number for reservations is (850) 222-8822 or (800) 228-9290.  Deadline for reservations is Friday, September 9, 2011. The standard room rate is $106.00 for (single/double) with 12.5% for state and local taxes totalling $119.25.  Reservations should be made ASAP as there is a limited number of rooms and I believe that there is a game that weekend.  The rooms that are available is with one double bed and a sofa bed.

 

Registration for the workshop is $35.00 which should be made payable to the Alachua-Central District Lay Organization. Breakfast and lunch is included in the registration along with materials for the workshops.  There will be a worship service on that Friday night which will be held at Bethel A. M. E. Church located at 501 West Orange Avenue- Tallahassee with The Rev. Julius McAllister as Host Pastor.
